TiddlyBot is a readily available kit based on Raspberry Pi, powered by a Nokia phone battery. It’s a two-wheeled differential robot, maintains its balance with a rounded wooden element, so it has no caster wheel. The whole chassis is made of laser-cut wood, and arrives in pieces. The following extra items can be added to it:
- Ultrasound distance meter
- Colored pens
- A movable camera (on two axes)
Its biggest advantage for us is that it can be programmed in Blockly, by connecting colored rectangles to each other, just like in Scratch. Therefore it is ideal for beginners, because it gives quick success experience by performing simple tricks or drawing nice nonfigurative pictures.
